How it works

From request to quote in three steps

HomeHelp Direct takes the searching and phone calls out of finding help at home. Here is exactly what happens after you send a request.

1

Tell us what you need

Choose plumbing, cleaning or moving. Add your city and a phone number, and your name if you like. That is all the form asks for, and it takes about a minute.

2

We send it to a local pro

We read your request and pass it to a local professional who does that kind of work in your area: Brooklyn, Monsey or Lakewood.

3

The pro contacts you

The pro calls the number you gave, asks about the job and gives you a quote. If the price and timing suit you, you agree on the work together.

Who does what

We connect. The pro does the work.

We want you to know this before you send anything.

What HomeHelp Direct does

  • Takes your request through one simple form.
  • Passes it to a local professional for that service.
  • Keeps your details to the purpose of handling your request. See our privacy policy.

What the local pro does

  • Contacts you to talk through the job.
  • Gives you a quote and agrees a time with you.
  • Does the work and charges for it. The price and the agreement are between you and the pro.
Good to know

Getting the most from your request

Be specific when the pro calls

The more the pro knows, the closer the quote will be to the real price. Mention the size of the job, access to the property and when you need it done.

Ask what the quote includes

Before you agree, ask what is and isn’t covered: materials, supplies, parking, extra visits. Get the details clear in advance.

You can say no

A request is not a booking. If the quote or the timing doesn’t work for you, you are free to decline and look elsewhere.

Urgent or dangerous situations. HomeHelp Direct is a request service, not an emergency line. For a gas smell, fire or flooding, contact emergency services first.
